Stepping stones leading up to the bridge carrying the Vasona industrial lead over Highway 85 in Saratoga, California. This bridge seems to function as a moderately high traffic pedestrian overpass, at least to the extent that the Union Pacific maintains (or, at least, tolerates) these steps. Since there are only two or three trains a week on this line, and they aren’t allowed to go much more then 10mph when they do come by, I guess I’d regard walking across this bridge to be considerably safer than taking the sidewalk on the immediately adjacent, very heavily trafficked Winchester Boulevard.
