That fountain


The infamous fountain at the entrance to the California Avenue station, Palo Alto, in its heyday. See this earlier post for the full explanation. The city got tired of people dump food coloring into the water and so ripped it out, which ticked of the neighborhood so much that they’ve now put a new fountain in. It remains to be seen whether the replacement fountain draws the same kind of audience participation.
