Old Southern Pacific water tank, one of the few surviving examples. This one is along the mainline between San Jose and Morgan Hill, right about where the track drops from being a double track route to a single track. This tank is associated with what was once the Southern Pacific Perry station, now a decaying husk used as somebody’s storage shed.
Shot with the Nikon D70s and the 18-70mm f/3.5-4.5 zoom at 70mm, ISO 400, f/11, shutter 1/250 sec. Exposure, definition, highlights, and shadows adjustments in Aperture.
