Junk pile

A San Francisco junkyard, as seen from the tracks. Later in the day, walking back the other way at ground level, an employee of the junkyard came out and angrily informed us that photography was not allowed. Even though we were in the middle of a public street and so I knew he was full of it, I didn’t argue with him as he seemed like a dangerous sort of fellow. But one has to wonder what kinds of dark secrets his junkyard holds. Maybe it has something to do with patents. Anyway, here’s a picture.

Shot with the Nikon D70s and the 18-70mm f/3.5-4.5 zoom at 70mm, ISO 400, f/8, shutter 1/800 sec. Cropping, white balance, exposure, contrast, saturation and highlights adjustments in Aperture.
