The wind turbines on the summit of Altamont Pass, even as images of them have become common and clichéd, remain for me an enduring source of surrealism.
Taken in June, 1997 with a Minolta XG-M and 200mm tele lens on Ektachrome 400, scanned on a Polaroid SprintScan 35+, then cleaned up and gamma corrected in Photoshop CS4, with saturation and levels adjustments in Aperture.
