The Stanford station is one of the lesser (and lesser known) stations on the Caltrain line. It is only used a few Saturdays a year, for football fans traveling by train to Stanford home games. Passengers exit through the usually-locked gates into the underpass where Embarcadero Road crosses under Alma Street and the tracks.
